Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY)

Objective:
The Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) is an initiative by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh aimed at promoting self-reliance in the agriculture sector. Launched on September 3, 2021, by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, the scheme seeks to boost agricultural productivity and enhance farmers’ income through financial assistance and support for various agricultural activities.

  • Financial Assistance: Provides a 45% government subsidy on agricultural projects, with an additional 45% as a bank loan and 10% contribution from the beneficiary.

  • Focus Areas: Supports activities including scientific land terracing, double cropping, farm mechanization, tea and rubber cultivation, and apiculture.

Who Can Apply:

  • Individual farmers and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) residing in Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Applicants should possess the necessary land for agricultural activities.
  • Women farmers and members of SHGs are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply:

  1. Visit the official Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana portal to access the application form.
  2. Complete the application form with accurate details and prepare a detailed project report outlining the proposed agricultural activities.
  3. Submit the application along with necessary documents to the concerned District Agriculture Office.

Documentation Required:

  • Proof of identity (Aadhaar card, voter ID card, etc.).
  • Proof of residence in Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Land documents (ownership proof or lease agreement).
  • Bank account details.
  • Passport-size photographs.
  • Income certificate.
  • Caste certificate (if applicable).
  • SHG registration certificate (for SHG applicants).

Implementation and Support: The scheme is implemented through state and district-level committees headed by the Chief Secretary and Deputy Commissioners, respectively. The Department of Agriculture oversees the execution, ensuring timely selection of beneficiaries and disbursement of funds.

Additional Information:

  • No land possession certificate is required for SHGs; a simple certificate from the concerned EAC, CO, or BDO will suffice.
  • No collateral is required for individual loans up to ₹1.6 lakh and for SHG loans up to ₹10 lakh.
  • The scheme aims to cover various agricultural activities, including the cultivation of crops like buckwheat and O-bollu, and promotes farm mechanization and apiculture.
